ARTIST STATEMENT

     I'm currently creating a graphic novel and it's continuing the flow I started previously. I'm creating this graphic novel digitally. My previous work, though satisfactory for my 1st try, was lacking in several aspects. That’s why this time I’m focusing on bettering certain aspects of it. This time around, I’m changing the style of the work a bit and I’m using more “color”, by that I mean using more black and its shades.

      I'm not interested in creating work that delves into social or personal issues. That kind of art is important but it's not something I aspire to create because I believe you have to relate to the issue at hand at some level and that is something I can't do. I aspire to create worlds, characters and how their interactions might change or affect the world they exist in. I'm sure you can do this in many different ways but graphic narrative is what works for me; there are no boundaries and you aren't limited by anything.

     The story this time focuses on the “mother” of the protagonists of the previous story and how she came to raise them. In this universe, humanity was created by a ‘superior’ race, and in the mindset of trying to evolve even more and become “better” they experiment trying to create a hybrid between them and humans.
